Prime Minister Modi Invites Global Investment in India’s Maritime Renaissance

New Delhi, October 30, 2025: Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has outlined a bold vision for India’s maritime renaissance, positioning the nation as a global hub for maritime investment, innovation, and infrastructure development.

In a detailed post on LinkedIn, the Prime Minister highlighted India’s emergence as a leading destination for investment in the maritime and logistics sectors, calling the country the “perfect harbour” for investors seeking opportunities in shipbuilding, port operations, coastal shipping, and allied industries.

“India is the perfect harbour when it comes to investing in the maritime sector. We have a very long coastline. We have world-class ports. We have infrastructure, innovation and intent. Come, invest in India,”
the Prime Minister wrote.

Emphasizing the nation’s strategic advantages, Shri Modi noted that India’s 7,500 km coastline, modern port network, and industry-friendly policy environment are driving unprecedented growth in maritime trade and logistics.

He underscored the government’s focus on green shipping, coastal connectivity, and innovation-led development, which together form the foundation of India’s Blue Economy vision. The country’s robust infrastructure and investor-friendly reforms, he added, make India one of the most attractive destinations for global investors seeking sustainable maritime ventures.

The Prime Minister’s remarks reflect India’s intent to deepen international partnerships and leverage its strategic geography for greater integration into global trade routes, shipbuilding ecosystems, and port-led economic corridors.

Shri Modi also shared excerpts from his LinkedIn post on X (formerly Twitter), inviting the world to participate in India’s maritime growth story.
