In a major anti-encroachment drive, the District Administration, South Andaman today reclaimed about 2,500 sq. m of valuable government land at Attom Pahar, Garacharma village, removing seven illegal structures, including fencing and a temporary shed.
Acting swiftly on field reports, Revenue officials with support staff and machinery dismantled all unauthorized occupations. A parallel clearance at North Bay also removed an illegal railing raised on government land.
Reaffirming a zero-tolerance policy, the Deputy Commissioner, South Andaman urged the public to refrain from land grabbing and report any encroachment to the District Control Room at 03192–240127 / 238881 / 1070 or WhatsApp 9531888844. Identities of informants will be kept confidential.
