Security Advisory Issued Ahead of Netaji Bose Jayanti Event at Netaji Stadium

Sri Vijaya Puram, January 21: In view of heightened security arrangements for the observance of the 129th birth anniversary of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, the general public and invited guests have been advised to comply with specific security restrictions during the commemorative programme scheduled at Netaji Stadium on January 23, 2026.

The advisory has been issued in connection with preparations for a proposed VIP visit to the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, during which the dignitary will attend the public function. Authorities have underscored the need for strict adherence to security protocols to ensure the safe and smooth conduct of the event.

From a security standpoint, attendees have been instructed not to carry a range of items into the venue. Prohibited articles include garlands and bouquets, power banks, battery-operated toys, coins, pagers, cameras, binoculars, cigarettes, lighters, matchboxes, handbags, umbrellas, water bottles, packets, briefcases, transmitters, tiffin boxes, glass items, and sharp objects such as screwdrivers, among others.

The advisory has been issued by the Office of the Senior Superintendent of Police (Security), Andaman & Nicobar Islands, as part of comprehensive arrangements being put in place for the high-profile event.

The public has been requested to extend full cooperation to security personnel and comply with the prescribed restrictions to facilitate a peaceful, dignified, and orderly observance of the occasion.
